Genetics as a teaching tool, and only that

The Punnett square and Hardy-Weinberg pages work through the classic Mendelian cases with the full grid and the ratios. They are built for coursework and for understanding how inheritance is modelled. They are not predictors of a real person’s traits and they say nothing about anyone’s disease risk — that is a conversation for a clinical geneticist, and every page here says so plainly.

The animal tools, and where their numbers come from

Gestation ranges are quoted from the Merck Veterinary Manual’s own table rather than averaged from around the web, and the one species it omits is sourced separately from a veterinary school. Resting and maintenance energy multipliers come from the published veterinary formulas. Where a page could be mistaken for medical guidance it states, on the page, that a vet is the only authority on an individual animal.

One tool instead of ten

Competing sites publish a separate page for each species’ gestation period. That is ten thin pages saying the same thing with one number changed. The gestation calculator here has a species selector covering ten animals, a week-by-week timeline and a due window, which is what someone actually needed in the first place.
