1Information We Collect

To provide you with a safe, smooth and personalised shopping and selling experience, we collect the following types of information:

a) Information you provide to us

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, password and profile information when you register as a buyer or seller.
• Order information: billing and shipping addresses, products purchased, and order history.
• Seller / vendor information: store name, business details, product listings, bank or payout details and tax information where applicable.
• Communications: messages you send through our contact form, live chat, reviews, support tickets or email.

b) Information from social login

If you choose to register or sign in using a third-party account (such as Google or Facebook), we receive basic profile information from that provider — such as your name and email address — in accordance with their permissions and your privacy settings.

c) Information collected automatically

• Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent and referring URLs.
• Cookies & similar technologies: small data files stored on your device (see our Cookie Policy).
• Location data: approximate location based on your IP address, to improve delivery and security.

What you search for

We record the words you type into the site search, how many results they returned, whether you clicked one, and whether the search came from the website or the app. Where you are signed in this is stored against your account; otherwise it is stored against an anonymous session identifier. We use it for one thing: finding searches that returned nothing so we can add the products people are asking for. Deleting your account removes the link to you.

2How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate business purposes, including to:

• Create and manage your account and process your orders and payments.
• Arrange delivery and provide order tracking and customer support.
• Enable sellers to manage their stores, listings, orders and payouts.
• Personalise your experience and show you relevant products and offers.
• Send important service messages, order updates and (with your consent) marketing communications.
• Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security issues.
• Improve our website, app, products and services through analytics.
• Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations in Pakistan.

3Legal Basis for Processing

We only process your personal data when we have a valid legal basis to do so. Depending on the situation, this includes:

• Your consent — for example, when you opt in to marketing emails or enable certain cookies.
• Performance of a contract — to provide our services, create your account and fulfil your orders.
• Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve Arbsbuy Pakistan and prevent fraud, provided these interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

4Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Arbsbuy Pakistan uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, understand how our site is used, and deliver relevant content and ads. Cookies we use include essential cookies (required for the site to function), performance/analytics cookies, functionality cookies and advertising cookies.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect how parts of Arbsbuy Pakistan work. For full details, please read our Cookie Policy.

Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. As there is not yet a common industry standard for DNT, Arbsbuy Pakistan does not currently respond differently to DNT signals; however, you can control tracking through the cookie and advertising choices described in this policy.

5Advertising & Google AdSense

To keep Arbsbuy Pakistan free and accessible, we may display advertising, including ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense.

For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, please see Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control the cookies used by third-party advertisers and recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

6Analytics & Measurement

We use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use Arbsbuy Pakistan, so we can continually improve our website and app. These tools collect information such as pages visited, time on site, device type and general location, typically in aggregated form. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We do not use analytics data to personally identify you.

7How We Share Your Information

Arbsbuy Pakistan does not sell your personal information. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:

• With sellers: to fulfil your orders, the relevant seller receives the information needed to process and deliver your purchase (such as name and delivery address).
• With service providers: trusted courier and logistics partners, payment processors, hosting and analytics providers who help us operate Arbsbuy.
• For legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Arbsbuy Pakistan, our users or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change.

8Reviews, Ratings & User Content

When you post a product review, rating, question, comment or other content on Arbsbuy Pakistan, that content — along with your display name — may be visible to other users and the public, and may appear in search engines. Please do not include sensitive personal information in public content. You are responsible for the content you post, and we may moderate, edit or remove content that violates our policies or applicable law.

Photos you attach to a review are published. They are stored on our public image store and shown next to your review, with the name on your account, for anyone visiting the product page. Please do not photograph anything you would not want public — an address label, an ID card, a receipt with your details. If you want a review photo taken down, email support@arbsbuy.pk with the order number and we will remove it.

9Marketing Communications & Your Choices

With your consent, we may send you marketing emails, SMS messages or push notifications about products, deals and special offers. You are always in control:

• Click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
• Reply STOP to marketing SMS messages.
• Turn off push notifications in the app or your device settings.
• Update your communication preferences or contact us at any time.

Opting out of marketing will not affect essential service messages, such as order confirmations, delivery updates and account or security notices.

10Mobile App & Push Notifications

When you use the Arbsbuy Pakistan mobile app, we may collect additional information such as your device identifier, app version and crash data. With your permission, the app may also access your device's location (for delivery and nearby offers), camera and photo library (to upload product images or reviews), and push-notification token (to send you updates). You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings, and disable push notifications from within the app.

11Payment Information & Security

Checkout on Arbsbuy Pakistan is Cash on Delivery or Bank Transfer, and your Arbsbuy wallet balance can be applied to either. There is no card gateway on this site, so we never see, ask for or store a card number. On a Cash on Delivery order you pay the courier and we hold no payment details from you at all. On a Bank Transfer order we record the amount, the date and the reference you give us so we can match your payment to your order — nothing more. If you send us a refund destination (a bank, EasyPaisa or JazzCash account), it is used for that refund and kept only as part of the order record.

12Data Retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfil the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

13Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and use technical and organisational measures to protect it, including encrypted connections (SSL/HTTPS), secure servers, access controls and regular monitoring. While no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, we work continuously to safeguard your data and keep your trust.

14Your Privacy Rights & Choices

You have control over your personal information. Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Access & update your account information at any time from your account settings.
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, where we are not legally required to keep it.
• Opt out of marketing using the unsubscribe link, or adjust your communication preferences.
• Manage cookies and advertising preferences as described above.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Arbsbuy account yourself — on the website at arbsbuy.pk/account/delete, or in the app under Account. You do not have to email us and we do not ask you why.

What deletion erases immediately: your name, email address, phone number and profile photo are replaced with placeholders; your password is scrambled; all your saved delivery addresses are deleted; any Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in link is deleted; your app notification tokens are deleted; every signed-in device is signed out; and your account is closed. If you run a store, the store and all its listings are taken down and the store's phone, email, WhatsApp and address are cleared.

What is kept, and why: your past orders, the lines on them, seller earnings, withdrawals and plan payments are not deleted. Those are accounting and tax records that must still add up, and they are the other party's record of a real transaction as much as yours. They stay, but they now point at an anonymised, closed account with no personal details on it.

One thing can stop a deletion: if you are a seller with a withdrawal request still pending, wait until it has been paid or rejected and then delete — we will not close an account that is owed money. Staff accounts cannot be deleted this way.

Deletion cannot be undone. If you want to shop with us again afterwards you would sign up as a new customer.

15International Users (GDPR & CCPA)

Arbsbuy Pakistan primarily serves customers and sellers in Pakistan, but we respect the privacy rights of all users worldwide.

• EEA / UK users (GDPR): you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to certain processing.
• California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Arbsbuy Pakistan does not sell your personal information.
• International transfers: some of our service providers may process data outside Pakistan; where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected in line with this policy.

16Children's Privacy

Arbsbuy Pakistan is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

17Third-Party Links

Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites, sellers' stores or services that are not operated by Arbsbuy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any information.

18Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
