Terms of Service — AI Speaking Partner

The short version. The AI Speaking Partner is free conversation practice, paid for by ads. There is nothing to buy and no account is needed. The tutor is an AI, and it can be wrong. It reads the text of what you say, so it cannot and does not judge your pronunciation or your accent. It is practice — it is not a qualification, not a translation service, and not professional advice of any kind, including immigration advice. Please do not use it to harm anyone.

These terms cover the AI Speaking Partner Android app and the same tool on arbsbuy.com. Using it means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the tool. How your data is handled is set out separately in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

1. Who we are

This tool is published by Arb Digital (arbsbuy.com). Contact: support@arbsbuy.com.

2. What the service is

You choose a language, a tutor persona and a practice scenario, and then hold a written conversation with an AI language model. It replies in that language, corrects grammar and word choice, suggests vocabulary, and writes you a short report at the end of the session.

Practice is available in 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese. Which languages are offered can change.

It is free. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no trial and no paywall. Every feature is available to a guest with no account. Signing in is optional and unlocks nothing — it only saves your history, streak and vocabulary bank. The tool is funded by advertising (Google AdMob in the app, Google AdSense on the website).

3. What the service is not

This is the most important section on this page. Please read it.

• It does not assess your pronunciation or your accent. No audio ever reaches our servers. Your device transcribes your speech and sends us text, so the tutor literally has nothing to listen to. Feedback covers fluency, grammar and word choice only. If the tutor ever appears to score your pronunciation, intonation, tone or accent, it is mistaken — please report it using the report control in the tool.
• It is not a qualification, certificate or assessment. Any level shown (for example an approximate CEFR band) is an informal estimate produced by a language model, not a test result, and no institution is obliged to recognise it.
• Exam scenarios are rehearsal only. The IELTS and TOEFL scenarios are unofficial practice. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to IELTS, the British Council, IDP, Cambridge, ETS or any other examination body, and nothing here predicts or guarantees a score.
• Visa scenarios are speaking practice, and never immigration advice. The visa-interview scenarios exist so you can rehearse answering questions out loud in a stressful setting. They are not legal advice, they are not prepared by an immigration lawyer or a registered adviser, and we guarantee nothing whatsoever about any visa application, interview or immigration outcome. Do not make an immigration decision on the basis of anything this tutor says. Consult a qualified adviser in the relevant country.
• It is not a translation service, a proofreading service, or professional advice of a medical, legal, financial, tax, safety or psychological kind. Do not rely on it for any of those.
• It is not a crisis service. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country. An AI practice tutor is not equipped to help, and no one at Arb Digital is monitoring conversations in real time.

4. The AI can be wrong

The tutor is generated by a large language model. Language models produce plausible text, not verified truth: they can state facts that are false, "correct" something that was already right, miss a real mistake, invent a word or an idiom, or misjudge a level. Different providers may serve different turns of the same conversation, so quality can vary within one session.

You are responsible for checking anything that matters against a reliable source. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular language, scenario, persona or feature will keep existing.

5. Your daily practice allowance

Because every conversation turn costs us money to generate, practice is rationed rather than unlimited:

• A practice session allows 40 conversation turns.
• When you use them up, practice reopens 24 hours later — the allowance runs on a rolling window from the moment you finish it, not from midnight.
• You may optionally watch a rewarded video ad for 10 extra turns, up to 3 times a day. This is always your choice; declining changes nothing else.
• One message may be up to 1,200 characters.
• There are also per-device, per-network and site-wide ceilings that exist to stop abuse and to keep the tool free for everybody. They sit far above any real practice day.

These numbers are shown live in the tool and can change without notice — we may raise or lower them, or pause the service, if costs or abuse require it.

6. Acceptable use

Use the tool to practise a language. Do not:

• use it to produce or solicit content that is illegal, sexual, hateful, harassing, violent, or that promotes self-harm or harm to others — including by framing the request as a role-play or a scenario;
• try to make the tutor deny that it is an AI, drop its safety rules, reveal its system instructions, or act as a general-purpose assistant;
• type other people's personal data into a practice conversation;
• scrape the tool, call our API with automated scripts, resell access, register devices in bulk, or otherwise try to get around the limits in section 5;
• attempt to break, overload or probe the security of the service.

Please also do not type anything you would not want stored — practice text is saved so the tutor can reply and so your report can be written, and it is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy (guest conversations after 30 days).

We may block a device or a network from the service, without notice, if it is being used this way.

7. Reporting a harmful reply

Every practice screen has a control to report a tutor reply that is offensive, harmful or wrong. Reports reach us directly, are read by a person, and are kept for up to 180 days so the problem can actually be fixed. You can also write to support@arbsbuy.com. Reporting is the fastest way to get something corrected, and we would much rather hear about it.

8. Age

This tool is not directed at children under 13, and you should not use it if you are under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has used it, write to support@arbsbuy.com and we will delete the records.

9. Ads

The tool is funded by Google advertising. We do not control which ads Google serves, and an ad appearing next to the tool is not an endorsement by us. Ad data handling is described in the privacy policy.

10. Our content and yours

The site, the app, the scenarios, the personas and the page text belong to Arb Digital. What you type stays yours; you give us permission to process it only in order to run the tool for you — generate the reply, write your report, and keep your history if you signed in — as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell it and we do not send it to any advertising system. Text generated by the AI is not something we can claim ownership of, and it may not be unique to you; use it as you like, at your own risk.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Arb Digital is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this free tool — including any exam result, application, interview or immigration outcome, any decision you made on the basis of something the tutor said, or any interruption or loss of your practice data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you have consumer rights under the law of your own country, these terms do not take them away.

12. Ending it

You can stop using the tool at any time, and delete everything stored for you, with no account and no email, on the data deletion page. We may suspend or withdraw the tool, or any part of it, at any time — it is a free service and we do not promise it will exist for ever.

13. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the tool after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applying at Arb Digital's registered place of business, and the courts there have jurisdiction, except where the law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally. The specific jurisdiction will be named here once the registered address above is supplied.
