Crisis intervention training such as CPI is employer-mandated, time limited and must be kept current.

Education hiring is increasingly data-conscious, and the strongest bullets connect what you did to what students achieved: growth measures, pass rates, attendance, behaviour referrals, programme participation. Attribute honestly, note the cohort size, and include the initiatives you led beyond your own classroom, since those are what distinguish candidates with similar teaching records.

The summary, and leading with certification

Open with your certification area, grade band and state, because that determines whether you are eligible for the vacancy at all. Everything else in the summary should point at student outcomes rather than teaching philosophy — philosophy belongs in the interview, where you can be asked about it.
