This Code of Conduct outlines the professional, ethical, and operational standards required for all sellers on the Arbsbuy Marketplace. Compliance is **mandatory** for every vendor. Violation of any rule may result in penalties, suspension, or permanent account termination.

1. Professional Behavior & Ethics

Sellers must maintain the highest standards of professionalism at all times.

  • Communicate politely and respectfully with customers
  • Respond to all messages within 48 hours
  • Provide honest and accurate information
  • Do not engage in abusive, aggressive, or deceptive conduct
  • Maintain a positive marketplace environment for buyers and other sellers

2. Honest Product Representation

Sellers must ensure all listings are truthful and accurate.

  • No false, misleading, or exaggerated claims
  • No fake product images or stolen images
  • No counterfeit goods or replicas
  • No incorrect specifications to mislead buyers
  • No misrepresentation of stone origin, clarity, weight, or treatment
  • No marking lab-grown gemstones as “natural”

3. Quality Standards

All products must meet Arbsbuy’s quality requirements.

  • Items must be brand new unless labeled “refurbished”
  • No used, damaged, expired, or defective items
  • Gemstones must include accurate details and certificates
  • Clothing must match size charts provided
  • Electronics must include proper labeling and safety compliance

Beauty & Personal Care:

  • No opened or used products
  • No expired or unsafe cosmetics

4. Reliable Order Processing & Shipping

Sellers must ensure timely order fulfillment.

  • Ship products within 1–3 business days
  • Provide valid tracking numbers within 24 hours
  • Use reliable couriers only
  • Package items professionally to prevent damage
  • Do not include competitor branding, promotions, or personal ads

Repeated delays or shipping issues may result in penalties or suspension.

5. Accurate Inventory Management

Sellers must keep inventory updated at all times.

  • No overselling out-of-stock items
  • No canceling orders due to “no stock” repeatedly
  • Maintain accurate variations (size, color, model)

6. Customer Service Excellence

Sellers must provide excellent service to buyers.

  • Respond within 48 hours
  • Assist customers kindly and professionally
  • Resolve disputes fairly
  • Offer replacements or refunds when required
  • Respect customer privacy

7. Returns & Refunds Compliance

Sellers must honor Arbsbuy’s Returns & Refunds Policy.

  • Accept returns for defective, damaged, or incorrect items
  • Provide a return address when requested
  • Inspect items fairly and honestly
  • Process refunds quickly after approval

Sellers may **not** deny valid return claims.

8. Pricing & Fair Business Practices

  • No price manipulation or inflated pricing
  • No price switching after order placement
  • No unfair competition or seller sabotage
  • No duplicate listings to occupy multiple ranking positions

9. Prohibited Seller Activities

The following behaviors are strictly forbidden:

  • Selling counterfeit, illegal, or unsafe items
  • Uploading false or stolen images
  • Sending empty boxes, stones, substitutions, or incorrect items
  • Creating fake tracking numbers
  • Using customer data outside order fulfillment
  • Threatening or harassing customers
  • Review manipulation (fake orders, incentives, bribes)
  • Opening multiple seller accounts without approval
  • Manipulating delivery or cancellation metrics

10. Communication Rules

Sellers must follow these guidelines when communicating:

  • No abusive or rude language
  • No asking customers to cancel disputes directly
  • No sharing personal or off-platform contact information
  • No attempting to take payments outside Arbsbuy
  • No harassment or pressure tactics
  • No promotional spam

11. Intellectual Property & Legal Compliance

  • No trademark or copyright violations
  • No fake certifications or manipulated documents
  • No selling restricted, banned, or unsafe products
  • No misleading claims such as “FDA Approved” without proof

Violations may lead to legal penalties and permanent vendor removal.

12. Performance Standards

To remain active, sellers must meet:

  • On-time shipping rate ≥ 95%
  • Cancellation rate ≤ 2%
  • Return rate ≤ 5%
  • Response time ≤ 48 hours
  • Dispute ratio ≤ 1%

Sellers failing performance standards may enter “probation mode.”

13. Violations, Penalties & Account Termination

Arbsbuy reserves the right to:

  • Issue warnings
  • Temporarily suspend listings
  • Freeze payouts during investigations
  • Apply financial penalties
  • Permanently terminate accounts

Severe violations (fraud, counterfeit goods, scams) may result in legal action.

14. Updates to This Code of Conduct

Arbsbuy LLC may update this document at any time to match marketplace changes, legal requirements, or platform improvements.

Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
